My work is about change and the metamorphosis of how man-made and natural forms complement each other in everyday life. I think there is a beauty in living things constantly changing and it is these natural changes that inspire me when I am painting people, animals and nature. In my autumn landscapes I think about decomposition and natures courage to renew itself.
I love to think about beauty in a fleeting moment, everything seems to make sense. I paint the reflections of trees on water and the falling leaves seem like brushstrokes blending the edges of living forms around me. Similarly in my collages, I use discarded newspaper and recreate an image, which symbolizes the uplifting power of new life and re-growth.
